Something not working, a number you cannot account for, or a question about what the extension reads. Write to us and a person reads it.
Write to us
It helps to include the workspace name you signed up with, what you expected to see, and what you saw instead. If the extension is involved, open Options, click Copy diagnostics and paste that in: it carries the extension version, which surfaces are switched on, the queue depth and the last sync, and no page content.
If you have found a security problem, write to the same address with security in the subject line and please do not test against anyone else’s shows or account while you wait for a reply.
Worth checking first
- The side panel does not open
- Chrome only lets an extension open a side panel in response to something you did, so the panel opens on your first click anywhere on the show page — or when you click the What Metrics icon in the toolbar. On a tab that is not a live show the icon does nothing, because there is no panel there to open.
- The panel is open but nothing is being recorded
- Recording is on by default, so something has switched it off. Open Options and check that “Live shows you have open” is on, and that your workspace has not paused recording under Settings, Extension. If both look right, use “Check the reader” on the same screen: it runs the reader against the page you have open and names the part it could not find. A Whatnot tab you had open before installing needs one reload.
- The revenue looks lower than what the show actually made
- A lot whose closing price the panel could never read is counted as unread rather than as zero, and the panel says how many. A missing reading is never quietly worth nothing, so a total can be lower than the truth but is never inflated by a guess.
- I opened a show late and the earlier sales are missing
- A live show page only ever displays its most recent sales. Switch on “Load a show’s earlier sales when you open it” in Options and the extension asks Whatnot for that show’s own sold list, from the tab you already have open, and fills in what you missed. Chat, viewer numbers and bid counts from before you arrived cannot be recovered by anyone.
- Sales are not reaching my workspace
- The panel footer shows how many events are still queued and when the last sync ran. Events are held on this computer until they land, so nothing is lost while the connection is down. If the queue never drains, check that this browser is still paired in Options and send us the diagnostics text.
- I want it to stop reading pages
- Options → “Revoke access” takes the page permission back and unregisters the reader outright. “Disconnect this browser” additionally revokes this device’s access to your workspace, and “Delete all local data” removes everything the extension has stored on this computer. You can also revoke the permission from chrome://extensions at any time.

We are not Whatnot and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whatnot, Inc. Anything to do with your Whatnot account, an order, a payout, a buyer dispute or a ban has to go to Whatnot’s own support — we have no access to any of it, and nothing we ship can act on your behalf there.
